How to Become a Person of Influence & Impact
10-Lesson Class with Craig Hill
Are you frustrated because your gifts and callings aren’t being fully utilized? Do you want to move in a stronger anointing and power to impact the kingdom? Do you feel called to influence culture, the government, or the marketplace?

If you are ready to grow in impact and influence, then you must begin with understanding God’s kingdom authority.

Today’s prevailing culture is one that balks at authority. As a result, many Christians today have little to no understanding of kingdom authority and miss out on one of the most important tools God uses to develop your character, gifts, and anointing.

While God is the ultimate authority, He uses the authorities He has placed in your life to shape and release you into the next phase of your destiny.

Due to misguided teaching, cultural influence, and past wounds, many in the church today operate out of an expectation that they are accountable to God’s authority alone.

While they may honor and follow leaders in positions of authority…

…as soon as the leader’s actions or decisions conflict with the destiny they have in their hearts, they will take back that authority and move on.

Unfortunately, this frequently short-changes the process God had in mind, and many Christians find themselves in a cycle of repeating the same scenario in a new location with new circumstances.

Why is that?

All of us experience a time-lag between our calling and commissioning. It is in this in-between period that God uses authority in your life to shape, train, and qualify you to operate in your own anointing and spiritual authority.
While that relationship may include mentoring that moves you toward your destiny, it often contains uncomfortable seasons of constraint as God works boundaries into your character.

You may even disagree with or feel like the people God has placed in authority over you are slowing your progress or heading you in the wrong direction.

Craig Hill experienced this in his own development into a leader and has observed it in those gifted and anointed individuals God has brought under his ministry.

He has learned first-hand the refining process God uses to promote, protect, and provide through abiding under the authority of those God put as leaders in his life.

In his candid teaching, you will learn the good, the bad, and the ugly as God worked this powerful principle out in his own life. In revealing the benefits of abiding under authority, Craig doesn’t shy away from the tough questions this sensitive topic brings up.

These include…
  • What to do when you disagree
  • How to respond to authority
  • Handling abusive leaders, and
  • Guidelines regarding what disqualifies spiritual authority, and finally,
  • The right (and wrong) reasons for leaving a church and the proper way to do it

Lesson 1: What Is Authority & How Do I Walk in It?
This lesson looks at authority from a biblical standpoint. What is it? How does God use it? How does the devil use it? And how are we to respond? How you relate to authority determines your qualification to fulfill God’s plan for your future. In this lesson, you will learn why it is so important to respond appropriately to authority.

Lesson 2: God’s Testing Ground for Promotion, Provision, & Protection
While God is the ultimate authority over your destiny, He uses the authorities He has placed in your life to give you qualification tests along the way. This lesson draws on the life of King David to demonstrate how submitting to legitimate authority is key to God’s process for intensifying His anointing and power in your life. Often that process isn’t pleasant, but God’s promotion, provision, and protection is dependent on your response. This key will release you into the next stage of your destiny.

Lesson 3: The Purpose of Authority
God is the ultimate authority, and nothing that happens to you, either good or bad, can change His plan for your life… except your response. Authority is designed by God to bring order. Satan perverts authority for his own purposes—to abuse, control, harm, and undermine your faith. If he can’t get you to rebel against authority, he will deceive you into idolizing authority figures. In this lesson, you will examine God’s purpose and boundaries for authority, learn to recognize when honor for authority becomes idolatry, and how to walk in godly alignment with authority.

Lesson 4: How to Relate to Spiritual Authority in Your Life
Spiritual authority is given to equip the saints. Unfortunately, many people never realize their full destiny because they do not know how to relate to godly spiritual authority. In this lesson, you will answer questions such as: How do I know which authorities to submit to? How do I recognize godly authority? What are the qualities of godly authorities? How do I discern which church I should commit to? What ministry should I become a part of? What do I do when my leader is not a godly person? This lesson will guide you in the ground rules of relating to authority so you can align with all God desires for you.

Lesson 1: Build a Solid Foundation
When building a physical house to live in, it is impossible to install critical systems such as plumbing and electrical before pouring the foundation for the building to sit on. This is not only true with construction, but also with your finances. Unless you have a foundation of strong financial principles to build upon in proper sequence, your financial house cannot function properly! In this lesson you will learn what these Biblical financial principles are, and how you can implement them to create a solid foundation to build upon.
Lesson 2: Seek Vision, Not Provision
Do you work in your chosen field because you have a vision you are pursuing, or because you’re pursuing the income that the field brings with it? In this lesson, Craig teaches the principle that is critical to understand when it comes to your finances: provision follows vision, not the other way around!

Lesson 3: Ten Symptoms of the Spirit of Mammon
How can you tell if you are really pursuing vision or provision? In this session, Craig helps you answer that question by giving ten symptoms that are indicators of the Spirit of Mammon prevailing in your finances. Once you are aware of these symptoms, you will be one step closer to replacing the lies with God’s truth and walking with the peace He wants you to have in your finances.
Lesson 5: Qualifications for Godly Spiritual Authority
In this practical lesson, you will discover the key qualifications you should look for when choosing a spiritual authority. Submission is an ugly word in the modern church because of misunderstanding, wounds, and abuses. But just because the devil has tried to hijack God’s purposes for authority does not negate the power of abiding under authority. Jesus equates great faith to being under authority. You will learn how to identify and choose godly authorities in your life.
Lesson 6: Authority Busters: Unbelief, Idolatry, and Rebellion
Abiding under authority is the middle road between two ditches—rebellion and idolatry. While great faith is equated with submission to authority, these two extremes of rebellion and idolatry are rooted in unbelief (the opposite of faith). In this powerful lesson, you will learn how unbelief undermines God’s process that prepares you for your calling. You will receive healing for past wounds and a fresh impartation of faith and identity so God can establish His destiny in your life—no matter your current circumstances.

Lesson 7: What About Unjust Authority?
Inevitably, someone in authority over you will treat you in a way you feel is unjust. You may even be asked to do something that is ungodly. So, what do you do? In this lesson, you will learn how to respond to unjust leaders. You will discover what it means to submit to leadership even if it means respectfully refusing to obey their request (and when and why this would be applicable). Find out what the Bible says about unjust leaders and discover the pathway to great grace and favor that comes when you abide under authority in God’s way.
Lesson 8: Five Levels of Authority—Resolving Conflict When They Disagree
We all operate within a framework of five levels of authority. But what do you do when these different spheres of authority don’t agree? Your boss may ask you to do something that is unlawful. Your pastor may tell you one thing while your city mayor is asking you to do something else. What about husbands and wives? In this lesson, you will examine the five different levels of authority and how to resolve conflict between them.
Lesson 9: When Is It Appropriate to Leave or Appeal Ungodly Authority?
God uses authority in His process of refining you, building your character, and providing the framework for His promotion, provision, and protection. However, when a leader abuses their authority, there are appropriate and necessary grounds for coming out from under their authority. In this lesson, you will learn what behaviors disqualify a spiritual leader. You will learn when it is appropriate to leave a church and the proper way to do it. Finally, you will learn nine key steps for making an appeal when you are asked to do something you cannot do.
Lesson 10: Abiding Under Authority—Three Stages to Maturity
Learning to abide under authority allows God to grow your emotions, character, wisdom, knowledge, and vision. It will position you to occupy the sphere of leadership God intends for you. In this lesson, you will learn through the life of King David how to progress through the three stages of maturity (dependence, independence, and interdependence) to stay on course to become the person of influence and impact God designed you to be. As your maturity grows, you will understand and walk in the full kingdom authority God has prepared for you!
